I  have written, produced and directed everything from short films, commercials and music videos to industrial and feature films.   I can help you develop your ideas and take them from concept to screen.

Scripting and Telling Your Story:

I’ve been helping people tell their stories for over 35 years, and really, that’s what it all comes down to…story. I’ve worked with projects ranging from community groups and schools, to Industrials and political commercials, to Hollywood feature films helping clients:

• Define the focus and goals of the project.

• Craft the script with budget and scope in mind.

• Plan the production with an eye on specific needs and requirements.

• Produce your project, acquire needed crew and talent, manage your budget.

• Direct your project, planning the look of the production and managing your shoot.

• Edit your project, assembling the footage and other images, adding music, graphics and titles.

• And get it to your chosen distribution, whether DVD, Streaming or Web based.

Educator:

Classes I’ve taught range from Intro to directing and screenwriting, to hands-on production courses in lighting, audio and camera use. I’ve also taught training courses in the use of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere

• Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from Columbia University, NYC.

• Started and developed the film program from scratch at Haywood Community College in North Carolina

• Served as adjunct film department educator at Appalachian State University, Western Carolina University, UNC-Asheville,

• Western Piedmont Community College, and Asheville-Buncombe Tech
